Good day to everyone and a special hello to all IT Experts. I am looking for someone who can help me with Adobe Reader Error which I am facing since last week. I have tried many other solutions to get rid of this error.

But I am unlucky to find one. I have a registered version of Adobe Reader and have a valid key for it.

But a week ago, when I was trying to run Adobe Reader and update it from Adobe website, I got an error message stating that: “Your Adobe software could not be activated. Adobe DRM Activator error (client code 6). Fault Location: 1 Contact customer support.”

Can you please help me with this issue?

Thank you.

Hello Kadisha,

I am sorry to hear about the situation.

Getting the same error for a week can be frustrating.

Let us try a few steps to resolve your issue.

A lot of factors would contribute to this error. Common problems might be because the computer’s system clock is incorrect or if the software is being ran on several computers or it could also be due to network problems.Different error codes and error messages may vary depending on which device you are trying to install it e.g. Mac, Windows etc.

If error only happened when trying to update your existing adobe reader, reinstalling it sometimes resolves the problem.

The error commonly appears when your internet connection is down or is responding very slow. You can try rebooting your pc after uninstalling the software. You can then go to this link.

to check the connection. If it works then try to do a full activation. If you are not able to activate then it then most likely the issue is with the proxy server or firewall.

If problem persists, please contact Adobe Support.

You may also want to revisit the steps you took to update the software to ensure we meet all the requirements.
