Adobe Reader can’t create object in OLE Container

We upgraded Adobe Reader at our terminal server where our Dynamic GP application is located.

Until the up gradation, we were able to upload and view the PDF files using the OLE container, but after that, we were not able to view the existing and even uploaded PDF files. As what the screenshot below says, the OLE Container failed to create object.

Help badly needed.

Thanks!

It is possible that Adobe Reader encountered some problems before and in the long run some of its files got corrupted. Try uninstalling then reinstalling Adobe Reader from your terminal server to fix any corrupted files in the installation and to restore its settings back to default including some of the settings that you might have customized.

You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Any errors in the hard drive’s file system can cause applications to function differently and some installations to go wrong that sometimes lead to an incomplete product installation. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton System Works or Norton Utilities.

You may also try upgrading your current version of Adobe Reader to Adobe Reader X 10.1.2 which can be downloaded at http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/.
