Hi. I have Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit PC. I am having issue using Adobe Air 3.2.0.1320 Beta 2 when opening Photoshop. The error is “Adobe Air – The installation of this application is damaged.” I have tried to resolve this in the best way I can but I always end up having the same error. I uninstalled the software and then re-installed it back again, I tried to delete again and go back to the previous version, I even tried the Fix It feature in Microsoft website to automatically fix my problem, I manually removed everything that are connected with Adobe Air, but all this doesn’t work when I open Photoshop. I can use Photoshop in other features, but not with Adobe Air. How can I resolve this?

What you will need to do to resolve that problem is the following:

  • You will need to add the Adobe AIR mime type to your server.
  • Once you have done that, you will have to restart it and then you will point the url to the AIR application to a url that is not behind HTTPS.

What the above procedure will do is that it will let the application continue with sitting behind HTTPS, but then url that you just used will act as the HTTP pointer.

Some other workarounds that you may need to try are:

  • You will need to download and then install Adobe AIR.
  • You will need to determine the Adobe AIR application that is suitable for your computer.
