Hi

Three nights ago I was using TrakAxPC and it was running well. But this evening, when I tried to open it, I was warned that my install doesn’t contain a license code. When I press “Enter License Code” and re-enter my information, I get this following error:

Activation Failed… Error code -11

Please help. Thanks.

An error 11 means that the Nalpeiron Licensing Service (which we use to verify the license code is valid) has been turned off by your operating system through your anti-virus / anti-spyware software, so it cannot reach the internet to activate the application.

The instructions below should solve this Error 11 issue.

1. Go to Start -> Run and enter "services.msc" to open the service-managing utility.

  • (To open the Run dialog in Windows 7: Click Win + R).
  • What you need to do first is to check whether "Event Log" service is running.  In some cases it is disabled, the thing is the Nalpeiron service is dependent on the event log and will not run unless it (the event log) is running. If the "Event Log" service is not running, click "Start the service" to make it run. This must be running for the service to work.
  • (Note: In Windows 7, the Event log is called the "Windows Event Log")

2. Then go to "Nalpeiron Licensing Service" and click "Start the service" to get the service running.

3. Sometimes the Nalpeiron service itself has been manually disabled.  In that case, go to the Nalpeiron Licensing Service, right-click it, and choose "Properties".  A pop-up window will appear with a row of tabs.  On the "General" tab, there will be a drop-down box labeled "Startup type".  Change that to "Automatic" and click "OK".

4. Restart your computer and the application. When you next attempt to activate the software, you may have to tell the firewall / anti-spyware software specifically to allow access to this service.
