3ds Max Design 2012 Trial- Error Message When Trying To Launch

I have downloaded a 3ds Max Design 2012 Trial.  I have been battling with it all day!  When I try to launch the application, I get an error message saying the entry point wasn't found.  What does this mean?

 

3dsmax.exe – Entry Point Not Found Error

The procedure entry point ?getAppHInst@ResourceManager@@QAEPAUHINSTANCE_@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library splash.dll.

II have rebooted my computer, downloaded the program again, and tried running setup for the program numerous times.  Nothing seems to work!  Can someone shed some light on my problem?  What should I do to fix this? Thanks for all the help!

3ds Max Design 2012 Trial- Error Message When Trying To Launch

It is not a big problem at all there is a solution of this problem by Autodesk themselves. Solution: To fix this problem, you need to install the latest service pack and hot fix soft. For 3ds Max Design 2010:

3ds Max Design 2010 SP1: Download Link 1

3ds Max 2010 Hot Fix 2010-2010.02.17: Download Link 2

runs these two applications. First the 3ds Max Design 2010 sp1 and then the 3ds Max 2010 Hot fix 2010-2010.02.17. It will solve your problem. It is by Autodesk but they do not guarantee you that you will successfully solve the problem.

3ds Max Design 2012 Trial- Error Message When Trying To Launch

Reason: When you are trying to lunch your 3ds Max design 2012 on your computer you got an Entry Point Not Found error that looks like this:

3dsmax.exe – Entry Point Not Found Error The procedure entry point?getAppHInst@ResourceManager@@QAEPAUHINSTANCE_@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library splash.dll.

Sometimes 3ds Max Design 2011 can also have this same problem.

Resolution: For fixing this problem you have to install both the latest service pack and hot fix for 2010 3ds Max or Max design 2010.

b. Download Source 2 {For 3ds Max 2010 Ho Fix 2010-2009.09.22 (HF7)}
