The Retina display is the biggest enhancement in MacBook. Essentially, the screen has a pixels that is 4x the normal screen. So it is rich in colours, videos will be more vibrant than it was before and the font will have a great outcome so it will be more fun and interesting to read using this MacBook Pro 2012.

The screen is made of two glossy panels of aluminosilicate glass – this glass is just the same as the one used in helicopter windshields and trains that makes it 20 times harder and 30 times inflexible than those plastics, the glass is ultra durable and more scratch resistant than ever.

It is said that the human eye can only distinguish pixels if the pixel density of the display is less than 300 pixels per inch. The Retina Display technology makes sure that you would not be able to do that by having a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. Apple has made this technology to ensure the smoothest visual experience with your Macbook Pro even when you are watching high-definition movies. Now if you were impressed with the previous 15-inch Macbook Pro, the one with High Resolution screen, then you would amazed with this upcoming one. Imagine this; the previous model has a pixel density of 128 pixels per inch, that's less than half of the Retina Display's pixel density.

Hi Dorindagmincey,

Apple has planned to introduce Retina Display in MacBook. Retina display is a technology that gives the density of 326 pixel per inch which enables human eye to have a more smoother and high quality image view, because the human eye is capable of seeing 300 pixel per inch. Retina Display is designed to smooth the uneven edges of text and images making the display of higher quality than previous available LCDs. According to Apple officials, it’s resolutions is so good that to distinguish an individual pixel is impossible. Apple has already introduced Retina Display technology in its iPhone4.

I hope this answer addresses your query in the desired way.
