Norton Antivirus error occurred on Mac OS X

Hi,

I am using Mac OS X and I installed Norton antivirus but whenever I try to enable the antivirus an error occurs.

Can anyone fix this for me?

AntiVirus Auto-Protect could not load the scan engine. Please run LiveUpdate to get the latest version.

Norton Antivirus error occurred on Mac OS X

Hi Jonathan

There are invisible files of Norton Antivirus and it needs to be remove totally. To remove them totally, you need to download Remove Symantec Macfiles. Run the downloaded program. Open Remove Symantec Macfiles folder, then click the RemoveSymantecFiles.command.Then type your Mac OS X Administrator password.No characters will appear when typing your password.Press return, type 1.
