Windows Update 0x800A138F Error code

Hi Everyone,

I currently installed an application in my office laptop. It is one of the tools we are using in order for us to process an order. Now, I noticed that my navigation and processing as a whole is a little bit slow. I do navigate other tools, but I can say, the other tools function on a normal phase, based on my laptop’s usual performance.

My office mates informed me that the tool would be best usable, meaning the tool will stop being sluggish, once I install the latest updates for Windows.

So, that’s what I did and another problem came into the picture. I am receiving this error, 0x800A138F, and the update would not finish.

Please help. My laptop’s operating system is Windows 2000 Professional SP3.

Windows Update 0x800A138F Error code

Hey this is Trick here,

This error can be caused by a number of reasons.  Here's one solution, you can try that may fix your problem:

1. Try deleting your temporary Internet files, there's a possibility that there's some corrupted files in it, so you may want to try and clear that out.
2. Open Internet Explorer ;
3. Go to Tools, click Internet Options and then General Tabs ;
4. Go to Temporary Internet Files and click Delete Cookies. Click OK when prompted.
5. Click Delete Files, press OK when asked for confirmation.
6. Under History, click Clear History, click OK when prompted.
7. Close the Internet Explorer and open it again and try updating by going to Windows Update site.

Windows Update 0x800A138F Error code

Hi,

Some solutions that you can try:

• Go on start menu –> run command and type regsvr32 iuctl.dll /u and press enter.
• Now with the find tool, search for the following libraries: iuengine.dll iuctl.dll
• Once you have found these files, delete them.
• Now restart Windows and retry the Windows Update.

Check your browser language:

• Go on the Tools menu, Internet Options and in the window that opens, click “Languages”.
• Verify that is the same as the Windows update you use (English).
• If it’s different, change it.
