AutoCAD Licensing fails to acquire license

Hello, I have AutoCAD installed and I may run out of license soon. I heard that when trying to launch AutoCAD 2012 and you have run out of the base AutoCAD licenses, it will not license or cascade to the Building Design Suite 2012 Standard, Premium or Ultimate licenses. Is this true? I have already started seeing errors such as the ones below. Is this the case?

The security system is not functioning or is improperly installed.

AutoCAD Licensing fails to acquire license

Hello Michael A Fisher,

It seems you are using AutoCAD with Network License. If there is no connection between the servers where the main copy with license is installed, you get this error message, So, check for the communication and if you are in an organization, Please contact your Systems administrator. You get this when you connect to networks other than your organizational network and try to access with your organizational licence.

If you migrate to the Standalone License, You may not face such situations associated with network. Thank you.
