Using MS Access as the query interface to Oracle Spatial

Hello experts,

I have a huge problem here. I installed MS Office and wanted to use MS Access as the query interface to Oracle Spartial. What I wanted was to be able to create ODBC links to my Oracle Spacial but when I try to do so I get the error message below. I am running Windows 7 professional. What do you think is causing this error?

Invalid field definition ‘GEOMETRY’ in definition of index or relationship.

Using MS Access as the query interface to Oracle Spatial

You will have to check the definition of Geometry field in Oracle. If you cannot do this or the field is not very important and you do not want to spend time and effort, forget it and use the following two steps to get around the problem:

 Create a view in Oracle without Geometry.  Connect to this view instead of the table.

Use ‘Microsoft ODBC for Oracle’ and create a Access query without the field

Choose whichever you find easier, both do the same job. If the field is important, you will have to check definition and also indexes.
