Photoshop could not be launched because of an Error

Let us clear what went wrong in your situation:

1. Did you install Photoshop in os9.x and then later upgraded your system to os x?

2. Whether you are using the classic application mode or rather carbon?

Since you have mentioned that the library mathlib in your problem we are assured that the library exists and there is no problem in it. The only reason this message is showed is because the system is not able to load it. So as you mentioned mathlib this also signifies that you are working in the classic mode as a classic application.

In this case you need to run Codewarrior as a classic application. However if you are on carbon this error is bound to happen .

You can also make sure that mathlib is not targeted .Also make sure that another library is created which is indirectly linked to mathlib and hence mathlib is not directly targeted. For now the fastest step to solve this problem would be to download an updated version of Photoshop and reinstall.

If you keep receiving that error on Adobe Photoshop, first, try resetting the Preferences. To do this, press and hold CTRL + ALT + SHIFT and then start Adobe Photoshop. When you are prompted with “Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file”, click “Yes”. This will delete the Photoshop preferences file located in “C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [version]\Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings”. After this, start Adobe Photoshop again then see if it works.

The Preferences file will be created again when you start Adobe Photoshop. If this doesn’t fix the problem, try to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your Adobe Photoshop among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. When it is finished, close CCleaner and install Adobe Photoshop back.
