Error in Page indexing of Gridview

Hi everybody!

I have to set true the value of Allow paging and Allow sorting for my Grid View. On the side, I have a dropdown option and the data is displayed in the grid view according to the change of the item on dropdown. Now the problem is there are 4 list items bounded to the dropdown list, the grid view is functioning well for the 3 list items but stumped with error for the fourth one because the grid view displays the initial data. There is also another problem, when I tried to click on indexing pages or want to sort the data column.

The error is:
The page is displaying "Internet Explorer cannot display the web”

So can anyone help me to solve this problem? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Hello Charmaine,

If you are getting the error "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage" then try some other browser like Mozilla, chrome and if it still doesn’t work then go ahead and check the internet explorer add-on with a working internet explorer add on. In the affected machine you should find some SharePoint supported services missing.

Additionally you need to update the server with this Postfix package:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/968857/description-of-the-windows-sharepoint-services-3-0-cumulative-update-s

This package is applied to WSS, but it could also be used in MOSS. And one more thing you should not forget is to back up your files before doing the update.

Hello!

There are some programs problems in your drop down menu. You can fix your problem by creating section manager and category manager respectively. Your problem is a browser problem. You are recommended to use the latest browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Sea Monkey, etc. You can also upgrade your Internet Explorer browser. Internet Explorer 8 is one of the best browsers now and you can download it from the Microsoft website.
