How to disable startup loading of CD driver?

Hello

Now I am using Windows 8 operating system in my computer. It is really amazing. But maybe you know that the CD driver always start up automatically after the installation of this OS. I think it is irritating. So i need the solution. How can I stop this automatic operating? Please give me a direction. Thanks a lot.

How to disable startup loading of CD driver?

In Windows7 version if there is no media in the drive i.e., the optical drive power to it was not managed by windows, but in windows8 if there is not drive in the cd/dvd tray the optical drive will be turned off automatically. This is called as Zero Power ODD. This issue can be resolved by disabling the Zero Power ODD feature in the windows 8. This can be done by opening the registry editor and the navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicescdromparametersSelectZeroPowerODDEnabled and set its value to zero.

To enable this feature again for further use the enter the value that was already present in the same section.
