I have ever done restore on Quicken 2000, and it is fairly easy to do:

1. Go to File, then select Backup and Restore, and then open the page Restore from Backup File.
2. Find the backup file that you want to backup. Quicken files with extension QDF-backup.
3. Double click on the backup file. Then it will appear pop-up windows. You need to specify the location to save the Quicken 2000 data file. Make sure it is located in the harddisk.
