No authentication methods are supported by this client in the server

When I was attempting to connect by using SMTP port 25 to Rodrunner with MS Outlook 2010 beta, an error message comes up. The settings are same in all other systems which are runs with Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007, so it was not problem with the settings. I am getting the following error message when tried to send mail. ‘No authentication methods are supported by this client in the server’.

Please help me to solve this issue.

No authentication methods are supported by this client in the server

As a workaround to that problem, you will need to check if there is any folder that has been moved to the outbox that should have been in a completed project folder. In case the folder is there in the outbox folder, you will need to remove it to be able to fix the problem.

The reason why the error occurs is because outlook 2010 is trying to do an imap type sync of the misplaced folder, even though the settings that are being used are of  a pop account. And therefore you will need to check that too and make sure that you have configured the SMTP account using the right settings.
