Unable to Record Audio in Pinnacle Dazzle

Due to some errors, my Pinnacle Dazzle was unable to record audio. I can record videos but there is no audio recorded. I am worried about this problem. I have tried too much to find the solution but I failed. I will be thankful if anyone helps me and I will appreciate it.

Unable to Record Audio in Pinnacle Dazzle

Have you checked the sound settings in your pinnacle dazzle application? Check to make sure that the sounds are not muted because if they are then you will only be able to play the video without the sound after recording. Some of the workarounds I will recommend for that problem are:

• Unmute the sound settings if they are muted in the pinnacle application.
• Check the sound settings on your computer, if they are disabled then you will have to enable them for the sound to be recorded too when you are recording the video. Also if the sound has been set too low, you will need to adjust and increase the sound options.
• You may also need to reinstall the application in case it is just having general problems.

Hello Melindavaldes,

The pinnacle dazzle has both an audio and video driver. You need to check if the audio driver is working properly. Reinstalling the driver might help.It would be better if you get the latest drivers from their website for the OS that you are using. Many users have experienced problems configuring it with windows 7 64-bit. It wont recognize the audio driver. But I am quite sure that by updating to a latest driver your problem will be resolved.

Unable to Record Audio in Pinnacle Dazzle

Hello,

Are you using composite connectors, with 2 or 3 lines? 1 video (yellow) and at least 1 audio (red), 2 (white) if you want stereo? If you don't connect the audio-in lines, you won't get sound at all. If you use the S-video, you still need separate audio connections. The only methods that don't require separate audio are DV video via firewire, or HDMI. Both of those carry the audio signal with the video through the same cable.

Explain what you are using to play the original video, and how you are connecting it to the Dazzle, and I may be able to help further.

Unable to Record Audio in Pinnacle Dazzle

I checked the sound settings on my computer and some are disabled and/or too low. I also reinstalled all the drivers just to be sure. Also checked the jacks. My Pinnacle Dazzle is now working. I can record sound now.
