Error while creating WebFacing project using Rational Software Delivery Platform V8.0.3

Hello,

I was creating a WebFacing project using Rational Software Delivery Platform V8.0.3, when I received this error message stating “Errors occurred during the build”.

This problem also occurs when I use the following platforms: Rational Application Developer Standard Edition for WebSphere Software V8.0.3, Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V8.0.3, Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software V8.0.3, and Rational Business Developer V8.0.1.2.

Is there a way to avoid this problem?

Error while creating WebFacing project using Rational Software Delivery Platform V8.0.3

Hi,

The problem that you faced is a common problem. I too faced the same problem. Here is how I solved it:

1. Uninstall Rational application developer from your computer completely. To do this go to control panel and uninstall the program. After uninstalling the program check if any files are not deleted and delete them.

2. Restart the computer and reinstall the software on your computer.

3. Use the standard settings and not the custom settings.

4. After installing the program on your computer, run the program.

5. Follow the instructions on the screen and setup the software.

The problem will no longer occur.

Error while creating WebFacing project using Rational Software Delivery Platform V8.0.3

Hello Carolyn,

To resolve that issue, you will need to disable the JavaScript Validator for the WebFacing projects.

• Just right click the WebFacing project in the Navigator view and then select Properties.
• After that chooseBuilders in the left menu and then clear JavaScript Validator.

• Click OK to apply this change.
