Azure SQL vs. SQL server

With SQL database, multiple instances are run on different machines, which provide higher levels of availability. These machines would change both cost and performance. Azure SQL and two databases- a development database which uses a local SQL server, and a production database. The production DB doesn't offer design tools such as table/view designer. The design and work are carried out on the local SQL server, and DACPAC files are created of these, which modify the Azure DB by making a copy of the DB you developed using a design replication system. These files ensure greater built-in resiliency and simplified administration. The security factor is quite a concern here because data is stored in the cloud. Scalability, on the other hand is a plus, over regular SQL servers, as the DB can be bumped to a higher edition to run larger queries and the scale down for the normal loads.
