I have a customer that owns an SSL certificate for www.xyz.com
I have added this to the Exchange 2010 Power shell for external URL and they now don't get any certificate errors.
But now all internal users are getting an error as SSL is for www.xyz.com and the server is showing as server1.domain.local.
How can I change outlook to show as www.xyz.com instead or keep going back to server1.domain.local
Exchange 2010 SSL internal and External
Hello Kevin,
All you will need to do to resolve that issue is the following:
-
You will need mailgate.domain.com as well as autodiscover.domain.com (note: it is not discovery) in case you can have got split-DNS.Â
-
In the event that you are using external SAN cert as well as internal PKI, then you will need mailgate.domain.com as well as autodiscover.domain.com in the SAN cert and whatever.domain.local – whatever refers to what you configure your Exchange EWS as well as SCP records – as part of the internal PKI.
-
If you have got split-DNS, then it will be easier if you did step 1.
Regards,
Carl
