1) Click on the battery icon on the bottom of the screen

2) Now click on change advanced power settings

3) Expand the option named battery 

4) Change the battery level of the low battery level tab to 7%

5) Make the critical battery level 5% and the reserve battery level to 4%

6) Then, the critical battery action should be opened and the value for on battery should be set to hibernate

7) Click on Customize on the left side of the battery option

8) Select Turn system items on or off

9) Turn off the power icon’s behavior. This will fix the issue of considering replacing the battery.

If you are receiving that notification on your Dell computer to replace the battery, first, try installing all the necessary drivers for your machine. The problem might be due to a driver you did not install. Go to Dell Drivers & Downloads. Here, enter your laptop’s Service Tag or Express Service Code on the “Enter a Service Tag” field and click “Submit” to identify your machine.

You can find them on the label at the bottom of your device. Once your product is identified and located, click on your product to go to the download page. Make sure “Drivers & downloads” is selected on the left pane and then select your correct operating system. Download all the necessary drivers for your laptop and install them. See if this works.

If this didn’t work after installing all appropriate drivers, try removing the battery. Shut down your laptop and remove the battery. Next, plug the charger to the power and connect the charger to your laptop. Turn on the laptop and see if the notification to replace the battery still appears. If the notification disappears, it means the problem is with the battery.

You need to replace your battery with a new one and it should fix the problem. You can use the laptop with or without the battery by connecting the charger until you buy a new battery.
