Syslog is the log of all the system events. The top open source syslog server for Window and Linux are:

• Kiwi Syslog Server Free Edition – Kiwi syslog allows to view all the log events and can monitor up to 5 devices.

 

• SnmpSoft Syslog Watcher Free version – It is a Windows-based server that evaluates and accumulates syslogs from up to 5 sources.

• Paessler PRTG Syslog – The free version of Paessler PRTG Syslog permits up to 100 servers. Events can be observed and evaluated using web interface.
