How do I recover Galaxy S lost texts?

I have a 16 GB Samsung Galaxy S that has the Hummingbird chipset, 1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and upgraded Android 2.3 Gingerbread.  Ever since the OS upgrade, I lost the text message icon and text messages.  Is there a way to recover Galaxy S lost texts?

Hi Christopher,

Recovering lost text messages from your phone depends on how old those text messages are against the ratio of new messages or data in your phone. So as we may know, your Samsung does not actually “delete” it per say instead it keeps it in the background waiting for it to be replaced with a new data.
