3D Studio MAX 8 : License Error, initialize the license management system

Hi,

I installed 3D Studio MAX 8 having such mistake: License Error, initialize the license management system. Must register in addition to install or re-install the product.

If the problem continues, contact your system administrator or authorized reseller. After these messages, there was also: software licensing system cannot select licensing system error. I wish to request experts to advise me to solve this problem. Emergency please.

3D Studio MAX 8 : License Error, initialize the license management system

Hello Kathy,

That may be an error due to the 3D Studio MAX version that you are using. I will there suggest that you try the following version that has been tested and found to work properly: 

https://www.autodesk.com/products/3ds-max/free-trial

It is a trial version though.

• First you will need to go to 'wget && sh winetricks msxml3 dotnet20 cc580'
• And then you will install 3ds MAX.
• Note that the installer should finish fine in wine-0.9.56 , but it might take a bit long to get it installed.
• After that you will start 3dsmax; in case it exists, you try starting with 'wine 3dsmax.exe -h' and then choose another driver (software emulation /opengl/directx)
• A tutorial may come up. You will need to ensure that you check the box "Don't show this again" and start 3ds Max again".
