Unable to play songs on iTunes when iPod is connected

I remember I can play a song in iTunes by just double-clicking on it while my iPod is connected to my Mac using the charger.  Now it doesn’t work anymore.   What happened?

Hi Annabelle,

It seems a software problem. Firstly check that is it shows any error ? If shows then try to resolve that error and if you are unable to do that then re-install a new copy of your itunes setup.

Unable to play songs on iTunes when iPod is connected

Hi, to resolve this problem you can disconnect first, your ipod shuffle then reconnect. Make sure that if you reconnect it the connection of the cord is firmly attached in each end. If yes, but still did not work, then the problem is with the software try checking for updates for your iTunes player by doing this.

Step 1:

Open your iTunes

Step 2: Click Help >> Check for Updates
