My laptop suddenly shuts off after some minutes of use.

Hello techyv.com,

I have here a 4 years old Lenovo laptop. The problem starts like 4 months ago, the problem is it shut offs automatically without a warning after some few minutes of use, And when you turned it on again it will already shut off in maybe less than a minute or 2. I hope I would get an answer on how and why does this happened, and if possible sustain me some ways on how to fix this, because I will be needing this in my job.

My laptop suddenly shuts off after some minutes of use.

There are many reasons for this. 

1) Overheating. Are you using a cooling fan when you used the laptop? If not you can’t protect your laptop from overheating. In the event that the System locates that the CPU temperature is increasing than its limit temperature, then the framework will auto close down the PC. This is commonly brought on by the fan, gathering not evacuating the hotness from the heat sink over the CPU. If you ignore this problem, you will lose your laptop. This is a warning.

2) The other overheating issue is brought on by the player being continuously charged while Laptop is used. Uproot the electric storage device and connect to the AC connector and use the Laptop. If it still happens, then there is a hardware problem.

3) If there is a Motherboard issue, then you can’t test this issue without having a different motherboard.

4) Power Supply problems. You might have a defective power AC connector. Have it checked by a reputable portable computer repair store.

Hi,

It is the same problem what I had for my Laptop. I am suggesting you what I did. Take it to the servicing shop or if you can service is better. Clean all the dust inside of the laptop for all parts. Change your time battery and Laptop battery. Format your windows.
