A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required for Cisco Small Business WAP4410N on SMN Free WAP. Is the PIN really necessary for this free WAP? Is there any bypass? Appreciate your answer.

Hallo Delano,

You may not see the personal identification number for the Cisco small business WAP as necessary, but it will help in ensuring the security of your system. Just because it is free does not mean it does not have to be secured. The personal identification number is allocated so as to provide encryption protocols which will secure the Cisco wireless access points just like it is the case for a wireless network, and therefore only authorized persons will be allowed to access the Cisco small business WAP.

Intruders are everywhere, even in that kind of system, and that is why there was the need for a personal identification number to avoid any bypass to the system.
