I got this error message. I am not able to continue my work on Splash.

The below error says that a file GIF89.DLL is missing.

Please help me regarding this issue.

Hi there David J Nelson,

The first thing to do is to try running the software as an administrator instead as a regular user. Right click on the software icon and choose 'run as administrator' option.

If that doesn't work your gif89.dll is damaged and needs to be restored. You can download it from the Microsoft website. Once you've downloaded it and unpacked it, copy it to a Windows/system32 folder. You will also need to register file again in your Windows. To do so, click Start button, in search field type CMD and press enter. Once the console is up type the following line and press enter:
regsvr32 gif89.dll

Just in case this is not working for you, you will need to do a system restore in order to make things working again.
To do so, click Start button, in the search box type rstrui.exe and press enter. System restore screens will lead you through the rest of the process.
