What is the impact on the PAAS industry of at least two IAAS platforms (e.g. Amazon or Azure) that is available worldwide, and the likely creation of micro PPAS on top of that, resulting for the CAPEX heavy IAAS to the hands of the big names in the industry?

PAAS itself is the delivery of a computing platform and it is also a solution stack as a service. On Amazon it facilitates the deployment of applications without the associated prices and complex procedures that involve buying and also the management of the associated hardware and software. It is also responsible for providing the capability to host, and also provide the facilities that are required to support the process that involves building and delivering web applications and services entirely available from the Internet.

It may include facilities that support design of applications, their development, testing, deployment, hosting and also other services that are carried out by the application like team collaboration, database integration, security and scalability.
