I hear a lot about surface tablet . I am sure there has to be somebody else making a windows 8 tablet

Hi,

Yes, there are.

Lenovo’s Thinkpad Tablet 2 has been recently launched. Also powered by Windows 8, it has a 10-inch screen and very light at only more than 1 pound. 

From Asus, they have launched Transformer Tablet 600 running Windows RT; and Asus Transformer 810 which is powered by Windows 8 OS. Both of them have a Keyboard dock like the typical Asus tablets look like. It may just vary in some specs though.

Yes , there will be another company releasing it too, Lenovo's ThinkPad Tablet 2 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

whose price will range  £1,199 or close to  $1,880. It will be available when Windows 8 launches in October this year.
