Acess Denied on one of the disk partition

Solution 1 –

•  Right click on your F drive > properties > security > advanced > owner > click on your user name or "administrator" >  select the "Replace owner on sub containers and objects" check box > ok > click "yes" on the security message that appears > reapply the settings for the drive & the content

           

• Check whether the drive is displayed on disk management by following these steps,

  • Open control panel > system & maintenance > administrative tools > double-click "computer management" > enter the password if the drive is password protected > select "disk management" (in the Navigation pane, under Storage) > if there is no data in the partition, format it & check for accessibility.

Acess Denied on one of the disk partition

Even though you are the admin of the computer, and have admin rights, you might not have Ownership rights on the partition.

To take ownership, follow the steps below:

1. Go to My Computer and right-click on your F: partition.  The Properties window will open as shown below.

2. Click on Security > Advanced tab.

3. The Window for the Advanced Security Settings for the partition will open.

4. Click on Owner > Edit

5. Click on your User Account to set your account as the owner of the partition. 
6. Put a check in the checkbox next to Replace owner on sub-container and objects and click the Apply button. 

7. A warning message will pop up saying that all the permissions will be replaced.  Click on the Yes button

8. You will see the file permissions being replaced. 

9. When the ownership process has completed, you will see a window as per the screenshot below.
