My iPad screen has just gone black

I don’t think it is a virus because the main objective of a virus is to acquire as much information from the phone and sending it to a particular host or operator that acts as the receiver and not to keep on restarting the device. It is more likely a problem with the device itself or a bug in the operating system.

If you don’t regularly update the firmware of your iPad, try updating it this time. You can use iTunes to update your device. First, check if your iTunes is the latest version. If not, you may encounter different issues if you continue to update your iPad without updating iTunes first.

Visit Download iTunes Latest to get the latest version. For Windows, it supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. If you are using 64-bit Microsoft Windows, don’t use this installer. Instead, visit Latest iTunes 64-bit. It supports 64-bit Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Microsoft Windows XP is not supported in this version.

Once iTunes is updated, connect your iPad to your computer using the USB cable then start iTunes. Click on the iPad icon then click “Check for Update”. See image.

If there is an available update, click “Download and Update” and then follow the instructions. In case you are prompted, enter your passcode to continue the update. See image.
