If you are referring the “USB device” to a USB flash drive and you think there is a damaged driver, just uninstall it from the Device Manager and the next time you connect it, your system will install it back with a perfectly working driver. To do this, right-click My Computer then select Properties. Select Hardware tab then click Device Manager.

Expand the “Disk drives” section, right-click on your USB flash drive then select Uninstall.
