I know that there are many anti-virus software that claim to be the best for desktops and laptops.

I noticed that my anti-virus on a non-apple desktop does not work as well on my MacBook.

What anti-virus works best with apple products, specifically my MacBook?

A lot of people using Mac doesn't bother with choosing an Antivirus software which I think is a risky thing to do.

Hello Bersh Roman,

Thank you for that interesting question. I think there is no need to install an antivirus to your MacBook because most of antivirus software are junk and harmful. Just follow the following steps to make your MacBook secure:

1. Click "Safari Preferences", then uncheck "open 'safe' files after downloading

2. Un-check it. It will give protection measures against application  automatically downloading.

3. you don't need to install malware because there is an existing malware and supply administrator name and password.

The only malware that I can recommend you is "iLife 11". If you came across to their site don't hesitate to download it you deserve it.

You must also be knowledgeable of phishing and ignore pop-ups.

I agree with John that there is no need to install anti-virus software because it will just harm your MacBook. Just follow the steps given by John and hope it will help you solve your problem. I believe that you can find a way to solve it.
