Need help resolving problem with random application startup on my Motorola Defy+.

I bought a new Motorola Defy+ yesterday and now after running it a little over 24 hours I am facing problems with it. As soon as I enter "Dialer" to call contacts, random applications initiate.

These application run in background and drains the battery pretty fast. Is this problem common or is it just happening with my phone? Does this have anything to do with buggy User Interface? Can someone suggest a solution?

Need help resolving problem with random application startup on my Motorola Defy+.

I think the problem with your phone is only with the application that suddenly became faulty and has nothing to do with the phone physically. You may try rebooting your phone to have its memory refreshed.

If this doesn’t fix the problem with the random applications that suddenly open, you may try turning off your phone then open its back cover and then finally remove its battery for about 5 to 10 minutes. This will completely drain the phone from all the charges that came from the battery.

After this, connect again the battery and then check it if this fixes the problem with the random opening of the applications.

You may also try restoring your phone to its factory settings. But doing this will result on completely wiping out all of your data from your phone. Be sure to make a backup first before attempting to restore it using the factory settings.
