Samsung Galaxy S III has been launched in 28 countries. It is currently available in the following countries and regions: United Kingdom, France, Europe, UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Africa.

In comparing Samsung Galaxy S III with Apple’s iPhone : In terms of advantages, it cheaper than other high-end phones. Samsung Galaxy S III has the following features: 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 8MP camera, NFC, and sports an S VOICE feature which is not unlike Apple’s Siri as well as a host of new features.

In terms of disadvantage its design has courted controversy: Galaxy S III isn’t very scratch resistant , iPhone would stand up to more punishment.

As on May 29 2012, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S3 in 28 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa including, United Kingdom, France, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Samsung Galaxy was launched in India on 31st May.

They plan to launch in a total of 145 countries across 296 carriers by July. Samsung had started pre-bookings for the Galaxy S3 couple of weeks back on their eStore. The price was revealed on Saholic last week. The Pebble Blue version of the phone is delayed worldwide including India and only the 16GB White version would be available initially.

Screen Winner: Galaxy S3 (4.8 inches bigger screen v/s 3.5 inches but iPhone has more pixels-326ppi v/s 309ppi)

Processor Winner: Galaxy S3 (1.4Ghz Exynos quad – core processor v/s Apple's 800Mhz dual-core A5 chip)

Storage Winner: Galaxy S3 (extra 64GB from a microSD card with 50GB of FREE Dropbox cloud storage that comes as standard with every Galaxy S3 purchase v/s iPhone 4S16GB, 32GB and 64GB available with pricing rising appropriately with expensive iCloud back-up feature)

Battery Winner: Tie (Apple's Li-Po 1432 mAh v/s Samsung's 2100mAh battery but it has to power bigger screen & better processor)

Software and Apps Winner: iPhone (iOS App Store has over 500,000 apps with Voice app-Siri voice control & Gaming is more fun & OS more user friendly v/s Samsung's Android Ice Cream Sandwich with fewer apps but better customization options with own Siri rival called S Voice, eye-tracking screen dimming tech called Smart Stay, superfast data sharing over NFC with S Beam.

Camera and Video Recording Winner: Tie (Both 8MP, 1080p video recording & High Dynamic Range (HDR)option, but S3 has facial recognition features, tagging, panorama, Smile Shot and Beauty Modes with Up front 1.9MP camera v/s iPhone's anti-shake functionality, iMovie app for editing,

Price Winner: Tie (iPhone: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB sizes cost £499, £599 and £699 v/s Samsung Galaxy S3 – Rs. 37990 approx)

Overall Winner – Samsung Galaxy S3
Though Apple fans wont be persuaded to change, Galaxy S3 is newer in design with innovative features & more up-to-date.
