This is a very common problem for most of the Internet Explorer users. This browser is the worst from all the existent ones. That is because it works very slowly and don't provide new interesting features for the users. The problem you have can have a few causes.

First of all, check your browser to see if it has all the extensions needed for running all the internet pages you use. Another fact can be the toolbars that appear whenever you install a new program. They slow your program very much, but you can remove them: In the upper menu, select 'Tools' button then 'toolbars'. There you can select which of the toolbars installed you want to use in the browser. I recommend you disabling the toolbars which you don't use because they will make your life hard.

If these solutions don't work, I suggest you to change your browser with Google Chrome, Mozilla or Opera.

If you have Microsoft Windows 7, you don’t need Service Pack 1 to install Windows Internet Explorer 9. You can install it with or without Service Pack 1. Windows Internet Explorer 9 supports Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 or higher, and Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit only) both 32-bit and 64-bit.

For users with Windows Vista, you need to have Service Pack 2 to install Windows Internet Explorer 9. Download Service Pack 2 from Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Standalone. If you think Windows Internet Explorer 9 is a bit slow and sometimes unresponsive on Windows 7, you probably want to try installing the performance and functionality update. The update applies to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Go to Performance and Functionality Update (KB2454826) to download. Once this is installed, you need to install the Internet Explorer 9 prerequisites from the following:

  • 32-bit Package – download this if you have 32-bit Microsoft Windows 7.
  • 64-bit Package – download this if you have 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7.

If you want to reinstall Windows Internet Explorer 9, you can download the installer from Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.
