Not able to download ArcGIS 10.0 trial version

Hi TechyV,

Yesterday I tried to download ArcGIS 10.0 trial version fromhttp://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/…ree-trial.html. Astonishingly I noticed that it wasn’t getting downloaded to my computer. My computer has all the required hardwares. I run it on 64-bit on Windows 7 platform.

Later I downloaded it in one of my friend's computers. After the extraction of the zip file, I started the installation. Then I got a number of error messages saying,

"Data error in <filename>. File is broken".

At that time I ran "ESRI" application in the main folder. As a result I got a menu for setting up various programs. Then I pressed the  link for the "ArcGIS Desktop" set up.

But it did nothing. But as I clicked another setup link I was forwarded to a series of errors.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Please help me.

Hello

Before, I start, I must tell you Jim, That, You've messed up badly with this software and i wouldn't be surprise, If you'll have to clean up your computer's disk. Whenever you choose to download any software. Make sure that it is fully compatible with your computer(it is compatible with computer) and read carefully, There could be some hidden line or words which could be very essential, While you download any particular software, For example– its open source free software or paid version, This is a trial version, Normally a trial version available for free, Still double check, Now as I can see, it does ask for registration process, If you are registered there on the software,Then go to control panel, Programs and software, Uninstall it, If you find anything related to it and reinstall the software properly.
