Can I install XP on Vista?please help

As you’re trying to install Windows XP alongside Windows Vista, it’s quite possible to proceed. Both of them are Windows NT based, so booting won’t be any problem.

First, collect the installation disc of Windows XP.

Now, shrink any volume from your Windows Vista. To do that,

1. From Start menu, right-click on “Computer” >> select “Manage”.

2. From the left pane, select Storage >> Disk Management.

3. Right-click on any volume that has a large space free >> select “Shrink Volume”.

4. Set the amount of disk space in MB that will be freed from the partition. The free space will available as “Unallocated space”.

Now, it’s time to continue installation of Windows XP. Insert the disc, boot into the disc. Continue everything like normal. When it’s time to choose the installation partition, choose the “Unallocated space” and create a drive. Note that “C:” is already taken by Vista, so XP will assign another drive letter for the partition which will be acting like the C drive.

Now, continue the installation. If you wish to change the booting order or revert to Vista bootloader, you should use EasyBCD.
