Important question about outlook software setup process

Hello,

I'm configuring outlook to handle my Gmail account. In this process of setup outlook software I find a window where I need to choose server type. I find five options here. Which one should I choose?

Good day Glanda, 

I believe I will be able to solve your query. Indeed as you say, there are usually two servers you need to choose between when configuring outlook to handle your Gmail account, basically IMAP or POP3 servers in the configuration of outlook.

According to my opinion, I may advise that you choose IMAP server so that you can be able to configure it as it is very efficient in the setting up of the emails.

When the window is opened, Go to Tools -> Accounts and set up the server for the emails.

Once you select the particular accounts you want it to be used, you can then configure it to be permanently using it.

It should be working well.

Important question about outlook software setup process

Hi,

I help you to configure your Gmail account to outlook. You can configure it to pop, IMAP server. First of all you have to turn on these features from your Gmail account. Once you have done that you can now configure your Gmail account locally in outlook. 

Click on servers options, see pop3 settings.

Don't forget to change port numbers in advance option.

Now I tell you how to configure it for IMAP. Go to server options see IMAP settings.
