Hi, I am a regular Microsoft office excel user, but what can I do if I wish to lock the document before I send it to someone? I don’t want the sender to edit my file.

Lock the document in Microsoft office excel user.

Hi, If you wish to lock your document before you can send it to someone then there is an option for the same inMicrosoft Office Excel user. First, you have to click on the option “file” in the menu bar. Next, click on “info” and then on “protect document”. This will stop the user from editing your file and you can choose who can edit the document. If you wish to take this a step further and stop the sender from editing only some information on the file, then click on “restrict editing” and the sender will not be able to edit the text you have selected.
