WinSCP vertical quotation marks replaced with slanted ones?

WinSCP used to display the quotation marks that appeared vertically and I don’t know the technical terms for these. It messing up my files because now they appear slanted.

No changes or updates have been done recently, Help is needed please.

WinSCP vertical quotation marks replaced with slanted ones?

If this is the first it happened on your program, try restarting your computer then try again. Check afterwards if it still appears slanted as before. If there’s no change, try doing a clean installation of the program again. This might fix the change in appearance that you suddenly notice.

Uninstall WinSCP from your machine then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a more thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, or Norton SystemWorks. Install the program again after this.

If you are using an older version of the program, try upgrading it to a much higher version. Try installing the latest version, WinSCP 4.3.8, which was updated only last June 7, 2012. To download this version, feel free to visit WinSCP — Free SFTP, SCP and FTP client for Windows.
