Updating MS Powerpoint Viewer with Error code 4397

Hi, my pc cannot complete the installation of updates of the Microsoft PowerPoint viewer. I am using Vista operating system. The update installation always fails with a message “Error code 4397”. I did not find any solution for this. Can you tell me how to get rid of this problem? Thank you.

Updating MS Powerpoint Viewer with Error code 4397

The Microsoft PowerPoint viewer error code 4397 is caused by the deletion of the installation file which can happen when you  use the disk cleanup tool and accidentally delete the said important file. Since this is an error associated with the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003, you can just opt to install the more recent PowerPoint viewer version which is the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007. This recent version can allow viewing of presentations made in older PowerPoint versions. Below I have provided the link to the Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 installer.
