Cos.exe file problem when browsing

Recently I started facing a problem when I was browsing with Firefox on my desktop PC. Instantly a dialog box appeared with a message.

Can you give me a solution of it?

Cos.exe file problem when browsing

Good Day!

cos.exe error                                                                                            

The above error occurs when the command for cos.exe was not supplied. Windows client attempts to retrieve the value from the registry, and the command specified could not be executed. In order to resolve this problem, please follow the procedures:

1. You must check system account
2. You must check system drive
3. Check the system variable, if it's set correctly
4. Update Antivirus and scan your computer, abnormal function of your computer applications and hardware maybe a cause of a virus or malicious file.

Cos.exe file problem when browsing

I am also using Mozilla Firefox but I can not seem to find a file called cos.exe from any of my directories. Maybe it is from another program that you accidentally launched while using Firefox. But anyway, every time that dialog box appears it always indicate an error in the application you recently executed. There are some possible reasons why this error appears. Maybe the program you accessed has driver issues that created errors in different parts of Windows that’s why the system stopped the program from executing further.



Maybe the file indicated in the error belongs to a program that became incomplete because some of its files were accidentally deleted. Or maybe the program is really incompatible with Windows. And another possible cause might be due to a virus infection. Update your antivirus and do a full-system-scan to check the whole hard drive for sneaking viruses.



If you are really clueless about the error, you may search the whole hard disk for this file. If you found it, check its folder so you’ll know what software it is. So you can uninstall it if it really gives you annoying errors.
