I am receiving this error message now and then on my machine.

Code generation for property ‘Items’ failed. Error was: ‘Object reference not set to an instance of an object.’

Occasionally, when I try to edit the SDF controls on my Windows Vista machine, which has Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 installed on, throws an error message.

Has anyone else also experienced the same error message on their environment?

This error message pops-up in your Microsoft Visual Studio is broad.

Code generation for property ‘Items’ failed. Error was: ‘Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Occasionally when I try to edit the SDF controls on my Windows Vista machine, which has Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 installed on, I do get this error message.

Here is the possible fix for this, I say possible because I am not sure if this will get rid of the error message.

An issue like this needs more information for us to clearly identify, the cause of this issue.
