Yahoo Messenger Not Responding in Mac OS X

Hello fellows,

I’m having a problem with yahoo voice chat Mac. I am currently working as an online tutorial teacher in a specific website and the application used for voice chatting was yahoo messenger. The company provides me a laptop with Mac Os. I cannot open yahoo messenger, it says not responding to the server. What will I do?

Yahoo Messenger Not Responding in Mac OS X

Hi Mellisa,

You didn’t specified which version of Mac os you are using. Yahoo Messenger only supports the Mac OS 10.4 or newer operating systems. However you can use Messenger in Yahoo  Mail. It doesn't offer all of the same features.

It will allow you to be in touch with your contacts. Otherwise try to upgrade your OS version.

Yahoo Messenger Not Responding in Mac OS X

Hello Wright,

First, you make sure that your Messenger connection preferences are correctly set. Your setting of Firewall with no proxies disables Yahoo! Messenger’s Voice feature.

·         Go to Preferences from the main menu of Messenger then select connection and make the settings correct to enable the voice feature.

Second, I would highly recommend that you download the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger for Mac. Most users’ issues solved after updating the latest version of the software.
