YEs, there is a limit on how many users you can share NetMeeting with. The maximum number of users that NetMeeting can allow is 10. For security and safety reason that at such speed, it can also limit the speed of which malware can spread and infect the computer. Malicious programs tend to open simultaneous IP addresses randomly and reach uninfected users. Numerous amount of IP addresses with failed connection then does mean that it is more or less a virus that infects your computer. 

If you are to set up a conference for 50 people, it is better if you use free streaming webcam sites that doesn't have restrictions or use messengers.

Unfortunately, Microsoft NetMeeting is now discontinued. It is a VoIP and multi-point videoconferencing client included in numerous versions of Microsoft Windows beginning with Windows 95 OSR2 until Windows XP. For videoconferencing, Microsoft NetMeeting uses the H.323 protocol and is interoperable with OpenH323-based clients like OpenH323, Ekiga, and Internet Locator Service or ILS as reflector.

Microsoft NetMeeting was released on May 29, 1996 and was originally bundled with Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 and later with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. Starting with Windows XP, the Start menu shortcut for Microsoft NetMeeting was removed by design. If you want to use Microsoft NetMeeting, you need to launch “conf.exe” manually from the “Run” dialog.

Beginning with Windows Vista, Microsoft NetMeeting is no longer included in the operating system. Microsoft NetMeeting can still be installed and run on 32-bit Windows Vista. On March 22, 2007, Microsoft published an update for 32-bit Microsoft Windows Vista that installs Microsoft NetMeeting 3.02 on Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions of Windows Vista but some features are not available like whiteboard area selection and incoming remote desktop sharing invitations.
