Is it good to use lan viewer 4?

I would like to know if is it really good to have a LAN viewer 4?

My office mates told me about this and I feel not satisfied with his testimonial that it is a good monitoring tool in local area network.

The purpose of that I am interested was I would like to monitor the sharing activities in my LAN.

Can you give me an idea of what it really is?

LAN viewer 4 is the best monitoring tool for local area network by having its versatile features like, trace route tool, remote shutdown and wake on LAN manager, wireless network scanner and monitor. These applications will help us to locate all IP addresses, MAC addresses and shared folders on computers on our wired\wireless network.

LAN viewer is easy to use by keeping this program it scans network and displays your network computers and able to easily view. It's buddy list style window provides the IP address, Computer name, MAC address, OS version, NIC vendor, logged users and shared folders.
