Two signals have the same frequencies.

However, whenever the first signal is at its maximum amplitude, the second signal has amplitude of zero.

What is the phase shift between the two signals?

Well you are asking might be related to your course materials and probably in signal processing course. whatever it may be.

So your question is the phase shift between two signals.

It can either sinusoidal or cosinusoidal signal. The first signal has reached the maximum amplitude and the second one has 0 amplitude.

Then the phase shift between them is either 0 or 90 degrees based on which signal is leading or lagging the other.
