Often after installation of a Linux based operating system has been completed but upon try to boot for the first time or after some files have been damaged, users are prompted with an error which says libmat failed to load and boot cannot proceed any further. What can be the solution to this problem?

Libmat Error On Linux Installationc

This error is caused due to missing dependencies in the requisite libraries which is often known in some Linux distributions. In Linux based systems to find missing dependencies we can use the “ldd” command to display all shared library dependencies. The full command is “ ldd –

v/opt/lumerical//lib/matlab/libmat.so”. The output of the above would display the missing links. To resolve the issue we have to identify the version of libz.so in the machine and create a corresponding symbolic link in accordance with the version of libmat. We can use the command “ldd –v/opt/lumerical//lib/matlab/libmat.so.
