Sweet Home 3 D cannot export error message

I’m using Sweet Home 3D 3.2 version on my new Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit version Operating system. Initially I had an issue making it work on Windows 7, since I was not using the latest installer download from the website. But later it started working well without any error message. I ran Sweet home 3D with Java web start. I installed the required plugins and checked that it was loading fine but, the moment I tried to save and export a file, it comes up with an annoying error message:

 

Couldn’t export SH3F file. JAR entry models/Composant not found in home/hans/.eteks/sweethome3d/Content315000321816400142_pref

Please help.

 points to

or did you mean
<entry key="furnitureName#235 ">Light Cube Two</entry>
 When inspecting the models, I could see it's the second one, which I already have deleted. It was an experiment in transparency. Still, if it interests you, the pref file is attached. Balram

Hi,

You should try downloading the latest software from the website. If you are unable to download it from their website then try downloading it from an external website like softpedia.com or download.com. Download the latest software and it should work according to your requirement. Even if then it dose not work then try running it in compatibility mode for a previous version of windows like Windows XP service pack 2. I hope you find the solution to your problem.

Hi Charles,

This is not first time occurred with Sweet Home 3D. This standard error occurs every time there is a 3D furniture model which is bad or corrupted and you need to delete it.

How to delete it now? Follow these steps:

1. First stop your Sweet Home 3D,

2. Open .eteks/sweethome3d/preferences.xml in your home directory with any text editor,

3. Find (by “control+F” option) Content315000321816400142.pref,

4.  You will find a standard code of “furnitureModel#number” text (e.g. furnitureModel#39),

5. Note that number,

6. Now open Sweet Home 3D again and delete the model serial number you noted from the furniture model list.

7. Try to export and save again, it shall work.

Hi Charles,

This is a known issue in Sweet Home 3d program that will prevent to export models imported.

The officials are working on this but the fix is not released yet.

I can give you a workaround on how to find problematic objects that cannot be saved. For this you must only add your object to a home.

If a red line or box appears in the 3d view or the plan, you should remove that object from the catalog.

Now you should be able to export the file.
